Tool
Convergence of Climate Health Vulnerabilities
Description
Convergence represents a collaboration among climatologists, public health researchers and professionals, environmental scientists, social science researchers, and community stakeholders to identify and address the impact of extreme weather and climate events on communities in the Carolinas.
The site provides summaries of climate impacts and vulnerable populations, as well as tools that allow users to explore the intersection of climate and health. These include the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Tool, the Heat-Health Vulnerability Tool, and the Hazardous Extremes for Risk Assessment (HERA) Tool—a data visualization tool created for local decision makers to assess and plan for meteorological and climatological hazards in their area.
